With the sudden increases in performance and speeds attained by the modern America's Cup yachts, the forces exerted on equipes and boats themselves have also increased. To reach the right confidence to push the limits of what’s possible on board, in 2017 Sea-Guard was born: a safety vest developed by Dainese together with Emirates Team New Zealand, winning crew of the 35th America’s Cup.
Dainese Sea-Guard covers the upper part of the body and protects chest, collarbones and back. It's not only about impact protection: it’s also certified for buoyancy, essential carachteristic especially requested by 36th America’s Cup presented by PRADA rules. Inside Sea-Guard there is also room for fundamental accessories, such as the emergency oxygen bottle, which can be crucial in dangerous situations.
